Here's a confession worth telling: both my Mac compacts are finally dead. Deep in my heart I kinda hope it's only their batteries, though I know it might be not so.

They have served a good number of years and the Plus was where I first learned what I later discovered as 4-part harmony without realizing that it was a pretty important step in my life. I love them, I owe them, and I miss them. I hope it's only the batteries.

I was gonna say more about today, like I was in a surfer's beach with 4 nice ol' friends watching sunset. The beach was beautiful, with big rocks and nice colors and many people surfing into the sunset -- but as I was winding my videotape to show you all the pictures, technology proved itself again. Now my tape is halfway out or halfway in, whatever, and I can't use the cam at all. To protect the innocents, details are not included in this article.
