~ Hair Bands

We were in Jamaica Plain, going out for a very late breakfast. We passed by the small kiosk at the corner. They still had somethings left and we ordered.

Then this old south american woman came inside and tried to sell me colorful hair bands. I need some anyway, and she looked very nice, so I started to choose one. She did not speak English.

It took long for me to decide, so she started saying to me which one she thought would be good on me. She picked up a silver one, and showed it to me. She nodded her head and put the silver band in my hand, trying to convince me that it looked nice.

I took the silver band and tried to match it with my hair. She looked very happy, and presented me as "Professora!"

I thought she had some wonderful lucky spells in those hair bands. I prefer to believe it.
